Other Members or Potential Members of Colesville Branch:

The Elmer Harris family, living in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, were not geographically close to the center of the Colesville Branch, which was located on the Joseph Knight farm in Broome County, New York. However, some family members were baptized by Hyrum Smith and Newel Knight of the Colesville New York Branch and may have had an affiliation with that branch:

Harris, Elmer (son of Nathan and Rhoda Lapham Harris and brother of Martin Harris). Martin had given his brother Elmer a copy of the Book of Mormon.

Harris, Fannie Melvina (daughter of Elmer and Parna Chapell Harris)

Harris, Joseph Mormon (son of Elmer and Parna Chapell Harris)

Harris, Parna Chapell (wife of Elmer Harris)

Slade, Eliza (wife of Phillip Slade)

Slade, Phillip (Phillip and Eliza resided in Chenango Township, Broome County. They were disposing of property in the Village of Binghampton, Broome County, New York on March 2, 1831, but apparently were not part of the exodus of the branch. Their membership status is unknown.

Unamed shoemaker from Greene, Chenango County, is said to have joined the new church, however, like John Morse, he reportedly died before the exodus to Ohio.

Wilkins, Nancy Coburn (wife of Preston T. Wilkins and sister of Sally and Emily Coburn, she showed an initial interest in the church. Her husband, Preston, forbade any continued association with the church.)

Willis, Eleazer (father of Ira J. Willis, may have had an early affiliation. He is a member by the Nauvoo period.)
